The Ergon Test (ergontest.com) is built and operated by Salim Cherkaoui, based in Switzerland. This page explains what data the Ergon Test collects, why it collects it, and how you can control or remove it. We aim for plain language; if anything is unclear, write to us at contact@ergontest.com.

What we collect

When you take the test, the following information is stored:

  • Your email, which you provide on the results page.
  • Your answers to the test: role, industry, team size, current AI usage, the tasks you selected, the strengths you ranked, your free-text responses, and the conversation you had with the AI coach.
  • Your computed result: Ergon type, AI/Human ratio, vehicle level.
  • Technical metadata: your browser user-agent string, the URL you came from, and the language you took the test in.

We do not collect your IP address, your name, your postal address, payment information, and we do not use third-party tracking pixels or social cookies.

Why we collect it

  • To deliver your result. The AI synthesis is generated from your answers and conversation, then displayed and emailed to you.
  • To improve the diagnostic. Aggregated and anonymised patterns from all submissions help us refine the test, the scoring, and the AI prompts. Your individual answers are never shared, sold, or made public.
  • To send you the welcome email, with your result.

If, and only if, you check the optional newsletter consent box on the results page, your email is also added to the GenevIA newsletter (French) or the Ergon Report list (English), depending on the language you took the test in. You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click.

Where it's stored, who else sees it

Your data is stored at Supabase (EU region, Frankfurt). The AI synthesis is generated by Anthropic Claude (US- based provider) using your answers and chat transcript. The welcome email is sent via Resend. If you opt in to the newsletter, your email is also pushed to Beehiiv.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

  • Quiz submissions and their results are retained as long as the diagnostic exists, so you can come back to compare your scores over time.
  • Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • You can request deletion of all your data at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under the GDPR (EU) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to:

  • Ask what we hold about you (access),
  • Correct any inaccurate data (rectification),
  • Ask us to delete your data (erasure),
  • Receive your data in a portable format (portability),
  • Object to processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@ergontest.com from the address you used when taking the test. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies

The Ergon Test uses a single functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language preference. We do not use any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
